How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life before getting these transfers was so difficult that I couldn't Imagine my children would be at school because I didn't have money to pay fees. I have four children pursuing secondary education, one in primary and one in nursery school. There wasn't anyway I could afford to keep all this children in school. Currently my life is different because I no longer have stress looking for school fees since I managed to clear fees for two terms. I give thanks to GiveDirectly because the future of my children is bright.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GiveDirectly has helped me sort out school fees for my children for both first and second term. Feeding was very difficult but due to these transfers, I was able to stock some food stuffs like cassava flour and beans and also change diet. Its through this transfers I managed to acquire household items i.e 2 mattresses and a water tank. However, GiveDirectly felt out some people from the program who really deserved this help for example orphans, marriage returnees and school dropouts who I see live in poor conditions.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I collected this transfer, I paid school fees for my children who are in total 4 attending secondary education. The remaining money I spent it on agricultural practices and acquired household items.
