How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I used the money I received to build my own house which would not have been possible if I did not receive this money.The money has also enabled me to clear my college fees that seemed impossible to raise.Thanks GD for helping me achieve my dreams.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love how GD gives money to the extreme poor with no conditions and no strings attached. I wish you could give more to those still have needs or give college scholarships.

The biggest difference is currently I have a house I can host my friends comfortably.

I was very happy, I saw my school dream revived.

I spent my transfer to build myself a house and I have bought sofa sets and placed them in my house. The remaining amount I registered in Ahero vocational training center for an agribusiness course.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was losing my parents at an early age. I have to struggle to feed and educate my siblings since I am now the only breadwinner.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when watching movies at the local market center. It makes me feel relaxed.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I am going to own a house. I will be living happily in my own house unlike now that I live in my late grandparents house.
