What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy a fishing boat and fishing nets. I also purchased foodstuffs and other household items.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I live in a descent house with cemented walls and floor. Besides, My fishing business is doing well and my family now have a reliable source of income. It is not only my family benefiting from my business but also my employees feed their families from it.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it give us free cash without restricting us on how to use it. I have a feeling that GD have aught to educate people on financial management before sending the transfer.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying sand and cement and plastering the floor of my house which was previously earthen. I then bought a new sofa set because my seats were very old and ugly. I then spent the remaining on paying school fee for my children and buying then a few school requirements.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now at peace and content because using the money I can comfortably feed my family on a daily basis and my children are healthier and happier and more active at school.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to pay 4000 KES school fees for my two children in private primary schools. The day the I received the money,they had been issued with a letter to clear the fee balance. It saved me a lot.I also spent another 4000 KES to buy sand that I used to plaster my house that I have been smearing with mud. The remaining amount I spent on food.

The moment I received the transfer,I was so happy and exited. My children had been issued with letter from school to clear their fee balances. You can imagine how my face shown!!

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I intend to use the tranfer to start indigenous poultry farming.l will spend half of the transfer in building poultry structures and use the remaining part in purchasing chicks.l plan to sell eggs and mature chicken to my villagers to earn income.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My greatest achievement is owning a house.l used savings l got from vegetable farming to build it.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is paying school fees for my children and two orphans l am support .My children are in primary school level and the orphans in secondary school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening after a day's work. I enjoy taking dinner with my family then afterwards watch football game in my television.
