How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received the money I could not I have managed to buy cows and I am very sure I could still be staying in poverty.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by giving people phones because some of us have never own a phone in their life and this was a privilege to us. It was also a good thing that the money was being sent direct to our phone and not using third party for money to reach us.l am happy and pleased with their system helping the needy. I did not see any thing that Give directly did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to buy two dairy cow as my future investment. I thought of buying dairy cow as a way of investment since I am planning to sell the calve after the reproduction and spend the money to pay school fee for my children . I will also get milk from it for my consumption and also sell some to the near by market and save the money for my children. Since my children are still very young, they are in primary school and very soon they will be joining secondary school and this will help me pay their fee with ease. The remaining balance I spent to buy three bags of maize for my consumption since there was drought last harvesting season therefore, I did not have enough food for my family. I also spent the transfer to buy food stuffs for my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm now a proud man because now I own most of the households I didn't have that made people look down upon me.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt so happy and the first step I made was to pray to thank God for the blessing and also to guide us so that we could use it wisely.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part of the money I received from GiveDirectly on seats because we did not have seats in the house instead we only had two stools. We had constructed a house, but we ran out of cash to complete it, so I used part of the money to complete the house. Part of the money I used to lease a piece of land for farming because we do not have enough farms for farming.
