Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have a lot of happiness in my daily life because I have reduced on the stress that caused a lot of ulcers and affected my health negatively. GiveDirectly's transfers have enabled me fulfil all my dreams of purchasing a cow, build a house and work on my gardens especially ploughing and weeding. There was no way I could handle all this on my own if it wasn't of GD.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My heart was overwhelmed with a lot of happiness when I saw mobile money message in my phone form GiveDirectly. I had so many plans but due to lack of money I couldn't work on them, so when I received this money, realized that all my plans could come to fulfilment.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer on purchasing a cow that will supply me with milk for consumption. I also built a visitor's house and the remaining money I spent it in cultivation.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a cow that can provide milk for my family, build a house that can be used as a sleeping room for visitors and a store. I also hope to complete the construction of my current sleeping house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when all members of my family wake up healthy. This is because I don't have to budget for medical bills.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money. I do not have an income generating activity that would support the family. The piece of land that is available for me to farm in is too small to accommodate my plans and yet part of the harvest has to be sold in order that all other needs of the family are met. This has some times led to food shortage in my household.
