Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to expand my dairy keeping project. As a result of this, the income from this project will increase. I will be using this money to settle some of our bills.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I realized that GD had sent me the money in the morning after one of my children decided to confirm it for me by checking my mpesa balance since he had also received his. My heart was filled with so much joy when he informed me about the good news.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought a calf using part of my first transfer. I settled on this as a way of expanding my dairy project and increase the income from it. I spent the remaining amount to buy ceiling that I am planning to fix in my houseto make it more presentable.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My first priority is expanding my poultry farm when I receive this money.I will start by fencing a portion of my compound using mesh wire to ensure the chicken are contained hence well taken care of.I will add 20 indigenous chicken to the few that I have.My second plan is buying a dairy cow which will cost me not less than Ksh.30,000(300 USD).I depend on my children to get milk for consumption because I cannot afford to buy my own.I am now very happy because I can also sell the surplus milk and satisfy my own needs instead of depending on my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy in the morning when I wake up healthy and strong. This will translate to a fruitful day because I will go to my farm and work.I spend 3 hours of my morning in the farm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Old age is catching up and it's becoming more difficult for me to get the basic needs like food and clothes. This is because I depend on subsistence farming which is not yielding enough and also the fact that my output is low.Initially I could sometimes supplement that with casual jobs but for now I am not strong enough to do casual jobs.Nowadays I find myself depending on my children most of the times. This makes me feel like I am a burden at times.
