How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I have no new goal. My goal has been to build a new house for myself. I live in my aunt's house. Things have been so hard on me. I was so sick. I needed to take an operation but could not afford the fees. I couldn't work. I could not do anything for myself. My children dropped from school. I could not afford their tuition. I was so excited when I got enrolled the GiveDirectly cash program. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. I used some to pay my hospital bills.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am excited for this program. GiveDirectly has changed my life for the best. It has given me another chance to live. I had lost hope. I could not afford to pay my hospital bills. I thought I wouldn't be alive by now. This cash program is a life changer. I am so grateful for this opportunity. In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done nothing wrongly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was overjoyed when I received my transfer. Things were so hard on me. I could not afford to pay my rent. I had to move in my aunt's house with my family. My children dropped from school. I got ill, I could not afford my hospital bills. However, after I received my payment, I used some of the money to pay people to saw planks and cut sticks. I also paid my children fees. And bought a bag of rice. I used rest of the money to pay my hospital bills.
