How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I was able to paid my children school fees, buy food stuffs for my family and some medicine for my farm. My new goal now is to buy a water pump machine that I can use for my farming process. Having a water pump machine will help me reduce the stress of watering the farm; by that, I will have more crops growing effectively which will yield a wonderful harvest this for year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being truthful and fair to us, all the informations given by GiveDirectly from the beginning of the program have come to pass and we are so grateful; they are also very gentle with us during interviews, I don't know of anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, everything is okay with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy fertilizers and insects medicine for my farm, for the past years my farm has not been producing properly because of insects damages and lack of fertilizer use on the farm. I couldn't afford the money to buy those materials for a healthy farm because of lack of finance but thanks to GiveDirectly I was able to buy those things with my recent transfer. I also bought food for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to get the money, I will do fish business. I will go to Monrovia by fish or go to the beach in Bomi here, buy fish and come sell it here.
I decided to sell fish because that is the business I know about since I knew myself as mature person. So I will not want to leave it and do another business I don't have idea on.
I know with business, I will be able to continue to support my family than just putting it in other things that I will not continue to be earning from.
Also if the money is enough, I will build my own house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, for the past six months I was happy some days, especially in the month of March, April and May. What made me happy was, I was able to have food for my family and I. Besides the time mentioned, the months of July and this August is a difficult month for me because my family and I don't have food most time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I got here are food and wearing.
I said food because here to get food is difficult. The frarm we made did not produce much yield; especially the rice.
