What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to buy a metal bed and mattress which I have always longed for. I bought a blanket which is much warmer. The remaining amount, I hired bulls to plough my farms and also bought fertilizer and seeds for planting
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the transfer, I would not have good yields which am expecting from my farm plots and this makes me very happy. Thank you GD for the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us transfers which has uplifted the living standards of recipients in our village. I have not seen anything that GD has not done.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying fertilizer at 3500 KES, paying school fees at 25000 KES, farming at 10000 KES, 2 sacks of maize at 6000 KES, preparation of a cattle shed at 3500 KES while the rest of the remaining transfer was used on upkeep.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I can nowadays afford to buy a meal I feel like eating with my family members.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase of top dressing fertilizer as well as certified maize and bean seeds for improved yield (6,000 KES) and also paid secondary school fee for our child (4,000 KES) to enable him learn consistently.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt very happy since this was an opportunity to achieve some of my dreams, with the most immediate one being food security at house-hold level.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We have one major plan with our transfer and that is investment in farming. We intend to buy four bulls to in help with ploughing our farm and use the remaining bit to buy fertilizers and seeds.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Our proudest achievement is actually owning our current house, the house is strong and permanent.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in our lives is on paying college fees for our three children in college, but with proper farm investment, we should be able to pay the fees by using the proceeds from farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after our evening meal when I get time to praise God for His mercies and protection.
