How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to complete my house that I have started building since the program began, I had this dream before but didn't know how it was going to happen, thanks to GiveDirectly who granted me the opportunity to see my dream come true. I also want to set up a business that will keep helping to raise money for my family expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without any string being attached to it, they are also respectful and kind during conversations with them, they never force us to use the money in a particular way which makes us comfortable to make our own decisions. I don't have anything to say about GiveDirectly which they are not doing well because all I ever saw them doing from the beginning of the program satisfied me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy a used motorcycle so that I can run it as a business while generating money to establish a better business, I also bought cement and some building materials for the completion of my house project, I used the balance to buy foodstuffs for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have been struggling for so many years to have place to laid my head. As we speak I was just thrown out of a family home by some family members until I met the owner of this house where we are currently sitting give us room in this house to help my self and my family. However, I am currently undertaking a building project which is at a zincing stage; So if I'm successfully enrolled for Give Directly Cash transfer program, I want to complete my house and help my family with food as well as sent the children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
After my family and I were thrown out of the home that I told you about, and we were given place by one old lady who goes by the name, Zinnah Kenyah. My sister in law (Spouse Sister) pity our condition and decided to provide for us two bundles of zinc that I have on top of the structure that I'm currently building; that alone have been the greatest joy or happiness that I have experienced in my life .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Currently I am faced with series of problems, especially the lack of money. As you can see my back, I fell from a coconut tree just two years ago only because I wanted to go sell the coconut as means of providing food for my family. I'm also faced with a health problem, my eyes, I don't really see from a far distance, which haven't been something that I was born with.
