How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is diferent now in that my standard of living has improved. Although it was partially my first transfer, I was able to get back my land that had been mortgaged years back. This land has helped me to extensively carry out independent farming. Before recieving this money, I had to share farming with my parents and it did not give me freedom to use my produce as I wished. In addition to this, I am delighted that I will soon be in position to appreciate my parents in law by giving them bride price (as it is in my culture) for my wife. This is using the cows that I purchased. This would take the longest time ever had I not received my money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money. I had never held such amount of money. There is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy two cows at Ugx 1100000. I used some to buy food, and household items like utensils for my family.
