How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to have a house of my own that will make me feel like a man, sincerely it's sometimes embarrassing when seeing your friends building a house while you cannot afford yours. Besides the building of the house, I will establish a business that will help to sustain us regularly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is very helpful to me and the family in a way I was struggling to even start to build a house, but because of GiveDirectly presence in my life I am capable of owning a business and house. I want GiveDirectly to continue helping us with money and other farming materials.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have planned to build a house for my wife and children, the house that we are currently living in is owned by my father. I also want to build a small store attached to the house for business purposes.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"Words are inadequate to express how grateful and excited I was when I received my recent transfer. As a Man with family, raising money to support my family was very hard due lack of any tangible job. For this reason I have to worked on daily hired to sustained my family. And there were times that I felt like giving up. Happily GiveDirectly came with this live saving opportunity and since then my life had not been the same as compared to before."
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"Life before GiveDirectly had not really been favourable for me and my family. Daily hiring was my only source of income and not much was earned and many days to even get paid was another ball game. Notwithstanding, with this situation I was always dreaming that one day I will be able to buy my own motorbike that I will run on a commercial basis and that will serve as job and source of income for my family. This bring me a great Joy each and everyday."

"After receiving my first transfer, with the struggles that I was going through to raised money to take care of my family, I decided to buy my own motorbike that I will run on a commercial basis and with the income, I will be able to take care of my family. With this planned I used the money and bought the bike. Thanks to GiveDirectly for giving the opportunity to become my own boss."

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"if i get this money i want to build a house and attached shop to it and also buy motorbike through that i will be able to go back to school and provide for my family".
What is the happiest part of your day?
Last month my grandmother was seriously sick at the point of death and i was out of money to take her to the hospital, while sitting one evening my friend came visiting and give me 3000ld from his report money to buy drugs for my grandmother. That act of gratitude brought joy to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenge right now is lack of money to care for my children and grandmother.
