How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have own a plot of land that I intend to construct my home being a single mother. I am hopping to have increased yields because of the acre I hired with this transfer. Previously, I was not at peace with my two sons because my family members looked at them as competitors for the little land they had. I totally didn't have where to cultivate hence I worked in people's gardens to be given a small portion to cultivate.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me financial support that has enabled me buy a plot of land for my children. GiveDIrectly has not done any thing bad for me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to complete payment of a plot of land at UGX 1,500,000 that I intend to build my home. I hired an acre of land at UGX 100,000. I also bought a bible at UGX 20,000 , clothes for my elder son at UGX 10,000 and million fish at UGX 2,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have regained self esteem. Because I had two sons, they did not have the land that belonged to them, I am now happy because I have started depositing for payment of a plot of land where I will settle with my children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first cash transfer, I felt so happy because I had produced out of wedlock and my children did not have any land that belonged to them. Receiving this money meant that my major problem of a plot had been solved.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,500,000 as deposit for payment for a plot of land. I hired an acre of land for crop cultivation worth UGX 100,000, then I spent UGX 40,000 for buying clothes. I have kept UGX 60,000 that I want to spend for hiring bulls for ploughing when the rains resume.
