How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I had no new goals. My goal has been to assist my husband and cater to our family needs and start a new business.I have not been able to do that because of the lack of money. Things have been a bit difficult for my family. We could hardly afford our upkeep and our children tuition. I am a house wife. My husband has been struggling alone with our needs. I was so excited when I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly. Being enrolled in this cash program is a dream become reality. I am so happy that I can now assist with my family needs. Hopefully our lives will never be the same after receiving the last payment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does not do anything strongly. I am so grateful for this opportunity that I can finally be able to assist my husband with our children tuition.

I was overwhelmed when I received my payment. I used some of my payment to pay my children tuition. I bought a bag of rice. I saved rest of the money so that when I receive my last transfer, I can add up to start a new business. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at my house cooking when I heard the alarm on my phone. Upon reading the text to my surprise, it was a message from Give Directly. I was very happy to receive such an amount from an NGO. I am suffering with my children. Thank God that I will be handling my own cash .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my children are in school. No one is sending them home for school fees anymore. Since I got into this program, things are getting better for me. Am happy and appreciative to Give Directly for the support.

I find it difficult in getting the needed cash to sustain my family. Am involve in petty trade and tempering with the small capital will make the business to collapse
