How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to change my palm thatched roof to zinc. Most often the palm thatches get dried doing the dry season and when ever the rain comes, there are many leakages. With the inflows of rain, we are greatly affected and in many instances get sick due to severe cool. I am doing everything humanly possible to have this done before the rainy season.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful in receiving this money, my plan is to put zinc over my house. I decided to zinc my house to protects it from failing, and makes it last longer. Since I built my in 2017, I changed the thatch almost every time there's heavy wind, and during raining seasons. When it rains, the house leaks, causing the mud to fall from the stacks, wetting my belongings, and destroying my documents. rains the place leaks badly. Most often climbed on the roof when it rains or heavy wind. Because of this, I changed the roof almost after every raining season and re-mud the house to keep it standing, and that cost me a lot. Zincing my house will release my worries, and make me comfortable. It will also cut down my expenses from and make my house last longer. It will also avoid me getting under the rain to fix the roof, the makes sick. It has always been my wish to get money and put that behind me once and for all.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest time over the last six months was October 1, 2021 when we heard Give Directly was in our district. Not knowing that Give Directly was going to reach in our town, but it was a happy day because we I felt that maybe Give Directly could reach to us to help us. I felt Give Directly interventions in my life was going to solve most of my problems including having money for roofing my house, getting food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenges is facing hard time getting food due to lack of money, and sending my kids to school. For past few years the crops have not been productive due the unfavorable weather. Besides that the animals disturb the crops by eating them than ever before. The last two harvests has not been productive, and this year going to be the same. This hard because there's not much to sell to get money to buy food. The crops didn't come up, and the animals disturbing the crops. Because of this, I take borrowed money from people to get me going. It's embarrassing seeing myself borrowing to buy food. This is a challenge for me because without food I am not able to accomplish my daily activities which is creating a serious setback for me.
