Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received the transfer i was very happy because in my life that was the first time to earn such a huge amount of money. The transfer was enough to eradicate poverty in my family as i would afford most things i wanted.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Look at this house i am living in, you can see for yourself how poor it is and imagine what happens during rainy season. To say the fact my life has been very pathetic with this house especially during rainy season because it leaks heavely. I had been trying to generate money for building a new one but to no avail. Today i breath a sigh of relief with coming of givedirectly because soon i will build a new house. Thus my daily life has changed.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on the following items: matress at MK34500, 20 iron sheets at MK6500 each, 5000 bricks for building a new house at MK120000, 2 bags of maize at MK9000 each and saved part of the money to pay artisans who will build my house
