Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
when i received an SMS alert that i have received the promised money i was very happy knowing that the challenges i have been facing will be reduced
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i have been staying in a grass thatched house for the whole of my life, rainy season could stress me and my family as the house was leaking. every rainy season my wife could go and look for extra grass but this was not helping, when it was raining all our clothes and food could get wet and we would stand at one point with my family and cover ourselves with an umbrella. with the help from GD i am no longer staying in a grass thatched house as i have bought iron sheets. i also used to go door by door looking for piece work in peoples farms to find money to buy food for my family but right now i have enough food for my family and i can happily go to my farm and work.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received the money i looked at the biggest challenges i am facing hence i decided to buy iron sheet, mattress ,food and other basic needs
