How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that, I own livestock and soon starting my own business. Previously, I didn't have money to buy livestock to use for marrying my wife and had no source of income. But with the new business I'm soon opening, I will be able to generate daily income for meeting the needs of the family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by alleviating poverty from my household. There is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The cash transfer has changed my life in that I am happier and socially respected in the community. I am looking forward to pay my wife's dowry and be empowered to take care of my family. Before I received the cash transfer, I had a lot of worries and stress because I could neither afford food nor acquire other necessities for the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The cash transfer message was delivered when my phone was off. I got a visit from one of the village members who told me to check my account. When I checked my inbox, I did not see any mobile money message. However, I checked my account and found that I had received a large sum of money. My heart was filled with joy and I thanked God for this assistance.

I spent UGX 1100000 to purchase two cows and UGX 300000 to purchase household items such as a mattress and clothes. I bought food stock like cassava, posho flour for my family. I am planning to spend UGX 150000 on other family responsibilities.
