What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used 43,000 KES to built my son an iron roofed house. I also paid my son in high school fee.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I managed to install electricity power in my home. Apart from that, my son no longer rush to the neighbourhood at night to have a sleep because I manged to built him a house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it is upto its promise. At the moment, I'm not sure what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
From my second transfer, I spent 37,000 KES for electric installation in my home, spent 2,600 KES on transportation of elctric poles, spent 6,500 KES to buy iron sheets, spent 2,800 KES to pay laborers installing power in my house, and the remaining 600 KES, I spent on food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is different in that I now have electricity in my house, have a bigger house and a beautiful one too.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on school fees for my son who is in form one, and also on sand and cement so that I can plaster the walls and floor of my house. I am also planning to spend part of the transfer on reviving my fish mongering business, which I used to do before, but has since collapsed.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is building my own house, which I did with the money that I saved over time from the casual work that I do in the village.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of adequate opportunities to make money. Sometimes I go to bed not knowing whether or not I will find work the next day, and such uncertainties make my life very difficult.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I have found some work to do and for which I will get paid.
