What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to complete making the walls of my house to make the house look decent. I then installed solar lighting in my house to improve lighting and be able to charge our phones. The rest of the amount was spent on buying school uniforms and shoes to replace the old ones that the children had and also on food.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I have managed to get a new, bigger and decent house for my family. I did not know that this would be possible until I received transfers from GiveDirectly. We are now very comfortable living a normal life where we have our own livestock and also proper lighting.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well by sending the transfers directly to the recipients, other projects the resources pass through other people who are corrupt. Everything that GiveDirectly did in my village was done in a proper manner.
