How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: My husband and I have always dreamt of constructing our own house but our biggest challenge was getting the house material which cause cash and our financial life wasn't strong enough for such project. Therefore we could not do so for many years but today we are grateful to start that house project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly is doing very well the fact that they are sending us money directly and not passing it through anyone which would have been a big mistake is a plus. Since givedirectly came to our town with this program, they have always been kind and friendly which I really do admiral about them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: Am going to spend the most of my money on purchasing a zinc and sticks for the building of our house. I will use the rest if there is on purchasing food items for my household and i. As the saying goes empty bag can't stand.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received my transfer. This message was a life-saving message because my children were sent out of class because of school fees last month and since then, they had been out of school. This had been my greatest worried. I never had any means of generating that amount now so I told them to stay home until I can get that money to pay their school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Receiving this amount had brought total relief to me because my children school fees issue had been my greatest worried but thank God for the Give Directly program for affording us the opportunity to meet up with our demands. Before than, things were difficult for me and my family. I used to sell Garee or fufu to feed my family and send my children to school.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband is a teacher but he is not paid well and on time therefore, we do farming for survival. Due to the bad road conditions, our produced from the farm spoiled before reaching the city to sell. If God blessed me with this money, I will put zinc ontop of my house and used portion of the money to pay my children school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the last six months, I have not experienced any happiness reason is, my living condition is so bad to the extent I was unable to get clothes and good food for the children during the Christmas season, but by seeing Givedirectly into my town today gives me hope that my life and that of my family will improved.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I depend on farming for survival but due to the lack of good roads we are unable to sell our produced to get money to solve our problems therefore, the hard time I'm faced with now is money.
