How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving the transfers, my goal was to have a decent a house as well as having enough food in the house. As I am saying now, I have managed to build an iron sheet roofed house. I also managed to buy fertilizer which I have applied to my crops that I expect to harvest a lot of maize this year
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly do everything very well. I have been a happy person to receive the transfer which has helped me to transform my life. I now have things which I did not expect to have in my life such as building an iron sheet roofed house. May God bless you.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my money to buy 7 bags of maize as food for a family of three. I also managed to buy clothes for the family that we are now living happily. My family has now lights as I bough two solar panels, 70 watts and 50 watts. I also bought a bicycle that now I manage to go long distances without problems.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money means enough food and a better house with iron sheets for my family. I have always wanted to have a house with iron sheets and a comfortable place to sleep. I have been trying to fulfill my desires by doing casual jobs and farming but still I have not achieved it yet.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am the happiest in the evening. This is so because it is the time I get to eat with my family. Most times in a day we only have one meal.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is that I am epileptic. Whenever I experience seizures it becomes hard for me to feed my family since I am the one who provides for my family.
