My house broke down. I have been living in my daughter house for two years. When I got my first transfer, I bought three bundles of zinc to enable me construct my own building. The business will help me generate money continuously for my family up keep. I really appreciate GiveDirectly for my transfer.

GiveDirectly gives unconditional cash transfer. I am not require to pay it back. The program is well structured. The process is free and fair, no corruption. The staff are polite and speak to people with respect. I don't know any thing that GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My husband and I have decided to spend our transfer on two important things. I am using portion of my money to pay the engineer who will construct my building. I am also going to use portion of my money to start a new business. The business will financially empower me not to go out of cash. When ever problem occurs and it requires money, I will attend to it quickly. I thank GiveDirectly for this financial help.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My primary goal has been to send my children to school. Now that I have enough money available, I am going to complete the payments of my children's school fees first and then afterward build a new house. I'll buy zinc, nails, and other building materials to build my house if possible in the next three months.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in selecting those needed communities. Moreover, GiveDirectly is sincere in its workings. As a NGO, it does not favor one group of people over the others. To be honest, I have not seen anything yet that GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transfer on my children's school fees and the purchase of zinc. I am greatful that the money came at this time, because I was really worried about how my children were going to attend school this year.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was busy on our farm working when the mobile money alert came to my phone unexpectedly. I can't read and write, so my husband quickly took the phone and checked to confirm the transfer. This was an exciting moment for us. My family and I ran to our kitchen and started shouting, Givedirectly thank you for our money. At least our long awaited dreams to build our own house has come to pass. This is the first experience I have had in my village . With this transfer, I believe, I will be able to build my own house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference made in my daily life since I received the cash is my husband and I are now having hope of getting money from some where to start building . We are now freed from stress of paying children school fees.We can now sleep very fine in the morning with out waking up from bed early to go in the bush for hustle. I am very happy for such a rapid transition in my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my recent transfer to buy 3 bundles of expensive Zinc and assorted nails. I want to build my own house to stay.. My husband and I planned to wait for the next transfer to start building. Our two children school fees payment had been challenging for us. For this reason, we have been engaged in to hard labor which involved cutting palm and harvesting bitter ball to sell . Part of our transfer was used to settle our children school fees in Monrovia. I believed that with my transfer, Our daily stress has reduced and I now have a peace of mind.
