What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I spent 1300 KEs on a sack of maize, 17000 KES on a cow and cleared school fees for my 2 children in a secondary school. I am very happy that I was able to resend my children back to school and as we talk, they are continuing with their education.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
Half of my first transfer money was spent on paying school fees for my child in secondary school who had been sent home for the same. The balance was then spent on buying a sack of dry maize for my family's food since we did not have enough food in the house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the money, I felt so happy and relieved that I sent the fees balance for my child straight away via M-pesa, because I was so stressed seeing him home when his classmates were learning.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that getting money to pay school fees for my three children who are in secondary school is a huge challenge because our income source is very low at the moment.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I go to my farm to plant kales. This makes me happy because I am able to get food for my children.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money makes me to be very happy as I feel that a very huge load of school fees has been lifted off my shoulder as I will be able to pay for my children's education.
