How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is not the same since receiving money from Givedirectly because we are eating three times a day which was not possible in the past before receiving this money and my chidren are happy now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We are very thankful to have been part of this program which has helped us quiet alot and i think the organization does well in its processes especially sending the transfer twice for every household.

Iron sheet, kitchen utensils, bag of maize, clothes.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy the moment i received my transfer because i knew i will be able to build my own house
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
We used to sleep on an empty stomach, the only means of finding food was through piece works. when i received my transfers i bought enough food for my family and we are having enough meals everyday.

When i received my first transfer i bought iron sheets as am planning to to build my house once i receive my second transfer. the other amount was used to to food food and other basic needs

What does receiving this money mean to you?
First of all I want to thank you people for thinking of visiting this village there's too much poverty look at my house I will build a better house for myself and children as a single parent I could not even think that a day like this would come for me to have thoughts of building a proper house I just thank God for this day. I have been sleeping on wet place together with bed buds with this money all will change to the better
What is the happiest part of your day?
When we have food I am happy just happy I don't I just feel satisfied
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband leaving me for the new wife after all these children just imagine I had nothing to look after my children since I was 100% just depending on him
