What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the whole of the third transfer to pay dowry to our in-laws so l bought cow and the remaining balance I gave them as a token.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different than it would have been if l never received the transfer is that, I could not have manage to build spacious comfortable house and to pay dowry.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly did well in giving people unconditional transfer, where by one is to decide on how to use the transfer on their own.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfer on paying school fees 9,000KES. I bought a cow 14,000KES,built a kitchen 20,000KES and the rest of the money I bought food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a cow ,a kitchen of my own and food to feed my family unlike before.

I bought a mattress at 4,000 KES, one sheep at 2,500 KES, 30 kilograms of maize at 1,200 KES, paid 800 KES examination fee for five children in high school and primary school then used the rest on food for the house.

Am planning to build an iron roofed house with cemented walls and floor.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We're planning to spend our transfer on three ways namely; Building another house since the local culture dictates that we change the house secondly, we intend to pay school fees for our first born child who is in form one now and lastly the remaining bit, we'll use in starting up a business to help with income generation.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having been able to build our current house,we did this through hardship since we do not have proper source of income.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we are facing currently is on making ends meet and on paying school fees for our children.With no proper source of income,this becomes a big challenge to us.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day has to be in the morning when the all family wakes up healthy and my children are able to attend school.
