Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to save in a merry go round group in order to use it on providing school fees for my son in the university. I want to be a good father to him.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is in the proper care that I have given to my child who just joined the university. I use the money I received on his upkeep. I am glad that he won't go through hard days of lack of food while he is studying. This will definitely lead to good results in his academic ambitions. It makes me so happy just to be able to meet his needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Although GiveDIrectly has improved our living standards, the cost of living has also kept rising with time. Comparing now and the last four months, I find it hard to manage my current life the way I used to do before. Life was still easy when most of the things were cheaper in the markets and also other sections of productions like agriculture were doing well. At the moment trials to venture in subsistence farming is no longer an easy task since weather conditions have been unfavorable. Maize production which has been our staple food has been affected by a specific pest which is rendering them unproductive unlike before. we thank God that GiveDIrectly is still in place to help us which has really boosted our survival in such hard times.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Since my participation in the Merry-go-round is still on, I still have a lot of expectations as I wait for my second turn. After making my secondary school fees payment easy, I still have an additional goal to use what I will get in the second turn to pay school fees for my other child who is joining University soon. This group has really built my confidence and at the moment I am so relaxed and sure that all shall be well as far as school fees payment is a concern. Apart from the group money, These transfers have also enabled me to venture in other agricultural projects which are currently doing well. These two will be one of the ways where I will raise income to use in other upcoming projects.

Since it came into our village, GiveDirectly has brought a lot of changes. Most of them are life-changing and we are really proud to be part of the organization. We are now witnessing success after success and the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is my ability to pay school fees for my child in secondary school with ease. I appreciate that I no longer toil in the casual labors I used to do to earn a living but instead, I joined a savings group best known as a Merry-go-round. I really thank GiveDirectly for the great work they have done in our village.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have raised enough money to start off my child's school fee payment at the University. With my current plans to also venture in Agriculture, I expect to see it picked in the next six months since I will be operating on the subsistence farming and the surplus will be sold to earn us some income.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months a go, I struggled a lot to get my family the basic household needs such as food. We relied entirely on casual labour to meet these needs. Very often, we could only get enough money to feed the family although sometimes it was hardly enough. With the various investments that we have made as a family, we are now able to buy food and other basic household commodities with very little difficulty. We have also been able to save up some money that can see us meet unforeseen expenditures in the household.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am looking forward to building a poultry house now that I have increased the number of chicken. This, I plan to accomplish once I receive money from our monthly merry go round.
