Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I feel independent and empowered because I have access to money . I have been able to execute my plans such as plastering the house. I had thought of this long before the cash transfers, however I did not have money. I am glad that this opportunity knocked at my door at the right time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The cash transfer was sent late on Monday night. However, I withdrew it the next day. I was very happy at that moment when I received the cash transfer because I was in need of money to enable me rennovate the house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase a mattress worth UGX 120000 and a bed worth UGX 60000 and a timber worth UGX 200000 and a water tank worth UGX 60000. I also bought a radio , food and other household items that I cannot quantify. I lent my son UGX 100000. Currently, I have UGX 150000 which I plan to spend on labour.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to complete the construction of my house. The little money that I had was not enough for me to do all that I needed to have done so I had to start using it befor completion. I will also buy oxen that will support in cultivation and increase food productivity in my home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am seated with other people. We make fun and lough together. This leaves me relaxed.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money to take care of the needs of my household. My house is not complete and I don't have oxen because there is no money for me spend on them. I use a small hoe to do all my garden work which is time wasting and less rewarding because the portion of work done is usually small.
