I have been living in a very deplorable house for the passed years. During the rainy seasons, I can experience a lot of difficulties. The leakages of the thatch roof is so much embarrassing to the extent that I can not have a better sleep at night with my family. Due to this reason, I was very happy when I started receiving the transfer from Givedirectly. Through the transfer, I have been able to build a new house that is very much comfortable for my family and I. We are all happy because there is a better house with a decent iron sheets roof to stay in for a longer period of time in the future.

GiveDirectly have done very much well by reaching out to every deserving households in the town and determining their eligibility during the enrolment process. GiveDirectly has done well by also giving me such amount of money to build a decent house that my family is happily living in. I am so much happy and thankful to GiveDirectly for making me and my family to have a better house to stay in.

When I received my recent transfer from Givedirectly, I used it to buy one mattress because the previous one that I was using was very much flat and uncomfortable to sleep on. With the recent mattress, I can have better night sleep and wake up happily in the morning. I also bought one bundle of zinc to add up to the three bundles I had previously for the roofing of my house from the other transfers from GiveDirectly. Moreover, the previous house that I have been living in with my family is not in good condition. Due to this reason, my family and I have been inconvenienced because of the leakages caused by the roof during rainy seasons.

Things have been a bit difficult for my family. I am a fisher man. I have been fishing all my life. Sometimes I hardly cash enough fish. When I do, due to low income,customers don't pay full amounts. I can hardly afford to feed my family. I was so excited when I received my first transfer. I have no new goal. My old goal has been to build my house and buy a new mattress. I am going to stick to my goal. Hopefully after receiving all the transfers our lives will get better.

The GiveDirectly cash program is an amazing opportunity to improve our lives. However, that they don't accept gifts of goodwill is what we as villagers think they are not doing well. I am so grateful for this golden opportunity. It is overwhelming. First of its kind in my village. I am so excited being part of this life changing opportunity. After this program our lives will get better.

I am so grateful that I got enrolled in the GiveDirectly cash program. This is an amazing opportunity to improve our lives. I was happy when I received my money. Hopefully after receiving all the transfers things will get better. I used some of my money to buy a new mattress. I also bought a bag of rice and some other food items. I have been fishing my entire life. Things hasn't been going so well. Due to the lack of money things have been a bit difficult for my family. I am excited to be on this program.

I'm still continuing with my previous goal which is my house project, until it's completed I don't have a new plan.

Give Directly does everything good, there's nothing they don't do well in my opinion.

My transfer was spent on additional building materials (zinc, nail, planks etc) A portion of the transfer was spent on provisions for my household.

The transfer has been a long awaited dream since GD did the registration and told me that I was eligible to be a beneficiary. While sitting in front of my house and thinking on how to go about my daily activities, I started hearing shouts of joy from few people and the noise later grew bigger, I was eager to know what was going on. After a while I saw one of my colleagues running to me and shouted Give Directly has done it! I hurriedly checked my phone and my transfer was there, I smiled deep and began thanking God. I later joined the celebration, because I was overwhelmed with joy.

Having a decent place to lay my head has been a challenge through out my life. I have always long to live in a better place. For each time raining season is approaching, my whole heart can be worried, because of the condition of my house. Thank God for Give Directly, I will now have my own decent place, and raining season will no longer be a worry for my family and I.

Starting my house project has been a burden on my heart, this was a dream come true for me. I bought my house materials to start up my house project, additionally I also bought some provisions for my family and I to sustain ourselves.
