What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the third transfer on buying three dairy cows because by reproducing and getting milk from them. I will be able to sell the milk at a price of 50KES per jar and through the profit I can expand my cereal business( maize) .I bought four bags of maize to boost my cereal business and I also bought household items such as a thermo flask and plates that I had admired for a long time as I could not afford.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to buy a water tank for storing water because I experience water shortage problem hence I have to take several trips to collect water , this is very exhaustive and time consuming.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that being a widow and mostly I depend on farming to put food on the table, I have harvested low farm out put in the recent sessions hence inadequate food in my household making me to miss daily meals at times, but now being that I have expand my business, I longer have to worry of sleeping hungry any more because I get double profits from the business to feed on.I very happy that I have household Item such as plates and thermo flask that I could not afford before the transfer. I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to build a better house for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having planted very many trees in my home. They usually make my home very cool and this makes me very proud.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to build a house for my son and his children. They have nowhere to sleep and this means that my son has to request neighbours for a place to sleep at night while I sleep with my grandchildren.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday after finishing any tasks that I had planned to carry out in the morning. I usually relax and enjoy a meal with my family.
