What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent by second transfer for constructing a descent house for my self and I used the balance for buying a bull at 930,000Ugx.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I my opinion Give Directly did well to give me cash because I was able to address my different needs at once.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have an iron roofed house and a big bull which I couldn't have got without the Give Directly cash tranfer.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying items such as; two big source pans at 100,000 ugx, a kettle at 13,000 ugx, four matresses, three pairs of bedsheets, gumboots, clothes for my family and I, and Jerricans for fetching water. I also bought stock at 400,000ugx for my shop since it was failing. Then I had to to buy a ploughing bull at 850,000 ugx.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was at 10:30pm when I was a message on my phone and realized it was from Mobile money. At that moment, I felt an inner joy and I was very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my children sleep well on matresses now unlike before when they used to sleep on papyrus mats. I also now have a ploughing bull to help me during on time cultivation unlike before when I had to wait for other people's bulls.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is lack of money for paying medical bills for my son who is always sickly.This is difficult because; every time he falls sick, I end up borrowing money from village savings group to the extent that up to now, I still have a debt that I have not yet paid.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon.This is because at this time when I see none of my children ill or sick and they are happy playing, I now know that the day will end well
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying cattle for ploughing my household's agricultural fields, paying school fees for my children who are at school.
