Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was super excited when i got the transfer message, good thing is i know how to read so when the message came in i rushed to check my balance to comfirm if the money is really in,wow that moment i was speechless holding my phone and looking at K307,200 as my balance,I'm so grateful for this awesome opportunity GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I used to suffer with hunger in this season,but now I'm having proper meals 3 times a day,this is something i don't take for granted,i really appreciate this organisation for alleviating poverty you are doing a good job.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When the money came in i thought of changing my living standards,i live in a poor house and i would love to build another one,so with the 70% of the money i bought house building materials,for example Timba used for roofing,ironsheet used for roofing,and bricks used for the actuall building. With the remaining 30% i bought household utensils like plates,bucket,pots,i also improved my sleeping place by buying matress,a bed and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
For along time most people from my village including my self we have been victims of floods and our houses have been destroyed by rain waters, i would like to use this money to build a strong house that should withstand heavy rains so that after rainseason i should not be a victim of floods to say my house was distroyed.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam happy in the evening when we settle to eat, because we share how our day was like and i see how happy everyone is
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is being unable to provide enough food and other basic needs to my famiy due to poverty.
