How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
As a farmer, I have been desiring to built a new house due to the deployable condition of my present house. For this reason since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I have decided to use almost all my transfers on a new house project. Therefore, I have not developed any new goal until I see my dream of building a new house accomplished. However, with my recent transfer I have planned to add the money on my previous transfer so I can buy most of the building materials such as zinc, zinc nail, planks, etc.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Friendly speaking all my life as a farmer, this is my first time to received such a huge amount of money free of charge from any organization. GiveDirectly has done a tremendous job that will never be forgotten in our lives. They have brought so much relieved and joyed to us as family. We will continue to praise GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity. However, in my opinion GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not quite well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my recent transfers, in order to fulfill my dream of building a new house, I have decided to add the previous transfer on my recent transfer son I can buy most of the building materials in bulk. Therefore my planned is to buy four bundles of zinc, four packs of zinc nail, and six gallons of gasoline to saw the planks. I am very delighted that with the help of GiveDirectly financial assistance the worry about my old house will soon become a passed story.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my farm doing some farm work when I heard a message notification of my phone. When I opened it, I couldn't believe what I saw. It was GiveDirectly cash transfer program message from Lonestar MTN. I was so happy. I quickly ran home to let my family know about the good news. We were all happy and we began to sing and celebrate because we have not been able to see such amount of money before.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been thinking about how to get money to change the thatch roof over my house to iron sheets but there is no help from anywhere. My son is in the 10th grade, I was also thinking about how to get his tuition when I receive the transfer. I was able to use portion of the transfer to pay for his tuitions because I need a better future for him. I am very much happy for such help from GiveDirectly because I have not been able to be happy like I am now. Thanks to God Almighty and GiveDirectly for everything they have done by putting a smile on the faces of my family and I.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For the passed years, I have been living in a very deplorable house. The roof of my house have made me and my family to be uncomfortable during the rainy seasons. We have to place pans under the placesthat are leaking to stop the spread of water flows. Because of this, I have planned to wait for my second transfer before I take my transfer out of my account because I need to change the roof over my house to have a better place to stay with my family in the future. Through the same transfer, I be able to pay people to do the job. Moreover, my son is also in the10th grade, I was thinking about how to get his tuition when I receive the transfer. I am so much happy because it is through the transfer I wss able to pay his tuitions and give him a better future.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a business person, I was making business before but my business broke down because of my children school fees and now my house is breaking down no money to build new one so if I am qualify for this program and I received any money from Givedirectly I am going to build my house and start my business again to support my children in school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months I have not had any joy or happiness because my business broke down and just a month ago my mother died again so I have not had any joy or happiness over the past time, but upon hearing about Givedirectly and the kind of help that they are doing for poor families around Liberia and that today I am apart of this program I am very excited today.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Like I said I was making business before but my business broke down and now I do not have money to start again so my main challenge for now is money problem.
