My new goal for the transfers is to save and buy a cow. I have also wanted to own a cow but I could not. I have always seen most of my colleagues have their own and I have to wait to inherit from my parents. I feel I need to buy my own which is also an investment for me.

I have did not have a stable source of income before the transfers. I used to rely on income from casual work which was not only inconsistent but also paying very little. I could not meet most of my needs well and in time because of my income. Since I was not well educated to get a good job, I thought of starting up a business but again I did not have the resources to start the business. This is why I used my transfers to start a poultry project. I know when I will have enough eggs and the number of chicken has increased, I will start selling them which will raise me enough money to start another stable business. I am using the poultry project as a stepping stone. Through the project, I am sure I will have the business I have been dreaming of.

My life will be different in the next six months in that I will have saved enough to buy a cow. This is my current goal which I am determined to have. I will save the much I can because when the cow reproduces, I will have a number which I can even sell to get the capital I need for the business. When they reproduce too, I will be getting milk which I will be selling some for an extra income. This will help me meet my daily needs well and with ease. I know my future will be better financially through GD transfers.

In the next four months, I want to invest more in my poultry keeping project. This is a project that has been so dear to me. I am looking forward to adding 10 more chicken within the next four months and raise the number to 30 and above. This will even make the cost of living much more affordable for me and raise the living standards as well. Considering the increasing number of chicken that I keep, I have plans of building a poultry house that will make it easier for me to keep these chicken. This I plan to do with the help of the monthly transfers that I receive and profits ploughed back from the poultry keeping business.

The biggest difference in my daily life over the last four months is the poultry keeping project that I have since initiated. I had this plan the last time we communicated with GiveDirectly and I made a commitment to raise the number of chicken that I keep from then 10 to 20 in number. This has been made possible with the help of GiveDirectly transfers and the project has made my life quite easy. I collect up to 10 eggs per day which earns me at least KES 100. This money is so resourceful to us in enabling us meet the cost of the basic household needs without having to struggle or worry like we used to do before.

In the next six months I expect my life to change in that we shall be more financially independent as a family as well as having better living standards of our family. The poultry keeping project shall have hopefully stabilized and earning us quite high income that would enable us meet the cost of basic household needs without much struggle. We shall also be in a position to make more profits and save up on it to invest in other meaningful family businesses.

Comparing my current life with the last four months, there is really a great difference. The projects which were never in existence are now up and running, some completed while some are underway. I used to buy milk for our domestic use in the household but currently, we are producing our own since we bought a cow. We really thank God that we have been able to complete all that and still planning for other new projects for the coming months.

In the next four months, I have a new goal to start poultry farming. This is a project I have been contemplating on starting for such a long time although I had never gotten enough capital to invest in it. I have been saving for some time now and currently, I have a good sum of money enough to start constructiong a chicken coop and purchasing some birds. The project is now set to be initiated in two weeks time.

When we first received the transfer from GiveDirectly, we found that the amount we were receiving was too small that we could not start any tangible project with it. We decided to come together in the village and start a merry-go-round where we have been contributing to one individual every month. My turn just came in some months ago and since then I have seen a lot of differences in my daily life. The biggest difference in the last four months is the presence of a cow which I bought using the same amount. I can now milk and sell the surplus milk after sparing enough amount to use in my household. I am much grateful that I have taken some good steps of development and still hoping for the best in the future with GiveDirectly.

With the poultry project which I am soon initiating, I have great hopes that my sources of finances would have increased in the next six months. I expect to be selling eggs then and also doing some expansion on the project to ensure that it accommodates a good number of chickens which in turn translate to better generation of income.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I used to save some money in a merry go round group that we started in our village. I used the money from the group to build my own house. Before I used to live with our parents and it was so inconvenient, we lacked privacy and sometimes some conflicts could arise. This was making me feel so bad. This let down some of the development projects because most of the time it was subject to so many ideas. Nowadays we have enough space, the privacy we need and we also sleep so comfortably. I have my own projects and I run so comfortably without any rejection and conflict.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have expanded my poultry project and I will be in a position to move to a new project of buying land near home to do horticulture farming. I will use part of my savings and the income from my poultry business to achieve this goal.

My life currently different from how it was four months ago is that I have a new spacious house for my family my children no longer sleeps at my neighbors home, they do their assignment on time and their performance has improved in school. We also have a place for visitors to sleep and we are so grateful for the support.

My new goals for the next four months is to buy a dairy cow. I usually buy milk and its so costly for me and sometimes I could even miss at my neighbor's house and my children could go to school without taking tea. When I have bought a dairy cow I will be in a position to save some money to pay school fees for my children and even meet the basic needs of my family.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have a better and spacious house for my family. I had saved some amount of money in a merry go group that we have in our village. This enabled me to buy building materials. Before it was so inconvenient when I had visitors because they could stay outside while I cook for them in the kitchen. Sometime it could rain and we could squeeze ourselves and it was so embarrassing to spend the night in the same room. My children could spend the night at my neighbor's house and it was so risky because they could walk during the night. Sometimes my children could not complete their assignment because of movement and this was affecting their performance in school. But now we have a good house and my family are now happy because they have a good place to sleep and to do the assignments. I am so grateful for this support from GD.

I expect your life to change in the next six months in that I will have started poultry keeping project. This project will enable me to earn an income by selling eggs at a nearby center.I will be able to saved the money to meet the basic needs and even pay school fees for my children.

My life currently is different since I have been able to build an iron sheet roofed house for my family and also bought a calf.

The new goals I now have is to build a kitchen for my self and also start poultry farming.
