Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was super excited when i got the transfer message i have never owned that kind of money in my whole life it is actually my first time so the experience was awesome but also shocking.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference will be owning a house since i live in a glass fatched house and i have never slept in a house covered with ironsheet,I'm super greatful this is going to be a biggest change in my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As you can see i live in a glass fatched house,I and my husband have been wanting to change the condition of our living standards but our financial status is very poor,so when we got enrolled we were all happy because we knew this money will change our lifes. Firstly we have managed to buy ironsheet used for roofing the house we bought 26 ironsheet and it costed us more than half of the transfer which is about K176,000,As it is my husband is a fisher man this is our only source of income and all along he has been struggling with how to source money to buy a fishing net, fortunately give directly has given us an opportunity to change our lifes so we bought a fishing net at K80,000,at this point all most all the money run out so we used the remaining amount for bricks

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am grateful to Give Directly on what it has done to me as i never expected to have this opportunity of receiving this huge amount of money in my life. I now have hope have that my house will be beautiful because i want to buy iron sheets. I am also excited because i know the challenge of water leakage during rainy season will be history
What is the happiest part of your day?
I do not have a specific time which i would say it's the happiest part of the day because it varies. Some of the days i am the happiest in the evening and some of the days i am the happiest in the morning depending on the situation
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I face hunger every year because i do not have a big garden for my crops. I usually harvest 2 bags of maize and this is not enough to take me throughout the year. I have to go to bed sometimes without food because i can manage to eat every day
