What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on finishing my house at 14,000 KES, bought house furniture at 26,000 KES, clothes and shoes for the children at 5,000 KES, then used the rest of the money on Christmas Holiday.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that despite my husband having lost his job and unable to cater for the family, we were able to build a very nice house and my children are also very smartly dressed, thanks to GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by involving everyone without discrimination. GiveDirectly should try to add us more money so that we are able to finish our already started projects.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on iron sheets, timber and poles, and also pay the builder, in order to build a better and larger house. The rest of the transfer on will go to buying food and other essentials.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is buying household items which I previously lacked. This has made me comfortable to even receive visitors in my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing in my life is the fact that I used to do sand harvesting by the shores, but the authorities have since outlawed the business, and so now I have been rendered jobless.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am doing different activities in and around the house.
