Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I look much healthier because I eat good food and sleep on a much comfortable mattress. I also hired a fertile piece of farm land that will boost my food supply. In the past, I had alot of stress and worries because of lack of money to buy various types of food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My son called early morning and informed me that I had received money from GiveDirectly. I felt very happy because I had no food and basic necessities.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought household items such as mattress worth UGX 80000 and bed sheets worth UGX 20000. I bought utensils (food basket,cups,plates,water jugs) worth UGX 100000. I hired a piece of farm land worth UGX 1000000. The remaining cash transfer is being spent on food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will build iron-roofed house for better accomadation. I thatch using grass got from rice, this roat very fast and end up incubating worms. They worms keep falling even on the bed and this creates great interference at night. The house constructed will provide proper shelter for my self and properties.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon hours. I relax after lunch while sharing development plans with neigbours.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is sickness. I under went an operation in my stomach. This does not permit digging yet it's the only way I survive. Iam therefore facing serious danger of hunger since I do not have any other reliable source of earning.
