What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on boosting my shop business which was very unstable by then. I am so proud that it can generate more income than it could before. I also paid school fee for my son who was a waiting for his final examination. Am so glad and hopeful that my son will complete his secondary school without any school fee arrears.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed than it would have been if I never received the transfers for my son, whose sponsor dropped just a year towards the completion of his secondary education, got a chance to finalize his secondary school education without any difficulty.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in ensuring that the transfers are sent directly to the recipients without any interference.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer to pay school fees for my child who is in high school. I spent 15,000 KES to start a small scale retail shop which is now our major source of income and also spent some amount to repay my loan at One Acre Fund.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have a small scale retail shop where I earn daily income which I spend on my family's basic needs.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my transfer to buy arm chairs because I did not have any decent seats in my house. I also bought a bag of maize for my family's consumption.

My proudest achievement is that I have moved to my own house. My husband passed away 12 years ago and I have managed to provide for my children on my own.

The biggest hardship was when I found out I was positive and getting medication and food has been a problem.

The happiest part of my day is when am praising God in church.
