How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I bought a goat worth 2500 KES and a sheep worth 3000 KES. I want to rear the livestock until such a time when they mature and eventually when they give birth, I will be able to sell out some of them and make some profits out of such a venture. I will also sell them when I run into a financial crisis in the unforeseeable future.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a short term plan of building a new house within the next four to five months. I have to make sure that I buy enough building materials that will see the project become a reality. The layout plan involves selling out some of the maize that I have got in my stock in order to raise some little money that I will use to build the new structure.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The cash transfers have been of great help to me because I have been buying household items such as sofa-sets and utensils which I never had before but I had the desire to buy them but due to lack of money, I could never purchase them. I also got a chance to buy new clothes for every member of the household to boost the drawer for everyone.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to start a small scale business for my wife so that she also has something to keep her occupied and generate some little cash for her. I know that she can be a good business person who can handle the venture so well and generate some money for her family. When she has a business to run, I will also feel relieved financially because she will be supporting me in taking care of our daily financial needs.
