How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago. The fact that we can eat well and sleep peacefully is a miracle. It was never a guarantee that we would even eat because I used to rely on casual jobs that were very unpredictable. My children had grown thin and malnourished as a result of this. I thank Give Directly for saving me from this shame because nowadays we can afford to eat a balanced diet. I can say life is good and we are all happy because of this change
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for my life for the next four months is to buy a sheep. Sheep are well known to reproduce within a very short period of time. I will have owned many of them within a very short period of time. They are also very marketable since it is one of the African most liked delicacies. This means I will be secure financially since I can sell them whenever am in a crises
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life ever since Give Directly came into my life is that I can now afford to buy food. Nowadays my family takes three meals a day which was not the case before. Previously we would take one meal or none at all especially during the bad days when I didn't get a casual job to do. The transfers from Give Directly have boosted me financially and life has become better since they came into our lives. This is evident since our health has improved. We no longer look emaciated and poverty-stricken.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months because I will have saved enough money to buy another sheep. I have hopes that these sheep will change my life that is why I want to invest heavily in them. I am hoping that no financial need will come up and distract my plan. I believe that all will go well and life will be better through this investment

The biggest difference in my daily life is that l now have more cattle in that when I have emergency I can sell them and spend the money according to the need. Before I did not have any cattle and this was very risky because any time I have any emergency I would depend on my children which is not right because even them they have their own responsibilities. I am also eating very well in that I always have three meals in a day as compared to before when i was eating twice in a day because of lack of money.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is the old age that has caught up with me. I am not able to work long hours in the farm which is the only source of our income. Sometimes i have to depend on my grandchild to fend for us though he is still a young man who is just a casual labor doing unskilled work in the village.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is usually in the evening while sharing a meal with my grandchild. I find their current life experiences interesting as compared to what we valued while growing up, that do not hinder me from teaching him our traditions.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use my givedirectly transfer on buying a goat since the one I had was slaughtered during the funeral of my son. Having the goat is a good thing for I can easily sell it to solve any emergency that require cash because i have no husband to help me.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement was when i got a bumper harvest from my one acre farm I sold part of the proceeds and built my kitchen. Initially i would endure bad weather cooking in the open or i would be forced to cook in my house which was not specious enough.
