How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal was to buy land to build my own house; for the past years I have been living in my family house and only a room was given to my children and I; but with my own house I will be able to have my own room as well as the children. Initially I planned to do business but previously I started my business in the third transfer.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When the program started, I decided to set up a business that will help me generate more money, the kind of business I decided to do is still processing, my new goal is to buy land in Monrovia because I found an area that is much cheaper and beautiful there.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by doing everything that they promised us from the beginning of the program which makes them honest and reliable; they are kind and patient with us by revisiting us when we are not around for the interviews. I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, all is okay in my opinion.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my recent transfer to pay a potion of the land money that was charged by the owner, I am hoping to complete the payment with my remaining transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
'If I am successful to receive this cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I would love to start up a small business. The business I intend to do is selling fish and fufu; I will buy these goods from nearby villages in Bomi and take them to sell in Monrovia. I chose these products to sell because they are very cheap here and by transporting them to Monrovia to sell yields favorable profit that I believe will help my business grow and take care of my needs."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" In the last 6 months, what has brought joy or happiness to my life is the acceptance of the COVID Vaccines by community dwellers. There are huge number of people from my community of assignment and nearby villages and towns that have taken the COVID Vaccines. I am a health worker and I feel so happy because I know that the virus is deadly and by seeing people willingly accepting the dose brings joy and happiness to me."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm faced with right now is finance. I am a contractor of the Ministry of Health assigned in Beh Town, Bomi County. There are months that I haven't been compensated and I'm not employed. It is a voluntary service I am providing for the community and there are times that I don't even get food to eat because of this.
