How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am very grateful to GiveDirectly for this financial opportunity. If it had not been them I don't know how the life of me and my family could had been. Before I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I lost my husband three years ago and the only house we have also got burned the same year. This brought me a serious set back and sadness. Happily GiveDirectly came with this financial freedom and since then I have been rebuilding my house. I am so excited that I am able to rebuild my house through the help of GiveDirectly financial assistance.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly did extremely well for us. Their farsightedness towards the needy is so much remarkable. They have brought so much relieved and joyed that had restored our broken hopes and dreams. All I have on my lips is thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly for this great financial opportunity. Therefore I have not seen anything that GiveDirectly did not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, with the desired to rebuild my house that got burned three years ago, I have been using all my transfers including my recent transfer on the project. Excitingly I can say I'm grateful with the level of progress made so far with my project. A big thank you to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was too happy when I received my first transfer because my difficulties are to be eased. Some years ago, my husband passed out and after a while, our dwelling house got on fire and it burned. With the damage to my house, my children and I are renting and they are out of school because of financial challenge. Currently, I usually work with gold boys (miners) to get daily pay or commission which is used to sustain my children and me. So getting GD transfer will enable me to send my children to school especially this second semester and I intend to rebuild my house as I receive my outstanding transfers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference upon receiving GD transfer has made in my life is, my children have being enrolled into school this second semester in the academic year. At the same time, I have planned the reconstruction of my burned house and I'm organizing the needed manpower and resources for the work based on the timeline of GD transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As I received the first transfer, I'm sending my children to school because they have being out school since this academic year. Subsequently, as I receive the outstanding transfers I will reconstruct my damaged house in order to alleviate renting in life as a single parent.
