How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly improved in that, I renovated my house and bought livestock which have restored peace in my life. Before, I was worried over the state of my house since it's wall and the floor wasn't plastered. I knew it wouldn't be long before my house collapses on me since several houses in my neighborhood have been destroyed by the rains. In addition, I wasn't in position to buy livestock since the food I harvested wasn't enough for me to raise money when sold. Now, I'm optimistic that in the near future, I can sell the livestock for money and plough my agricultural land with my own oxen.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me to achieve things I have never hoped to do like renovating my house. However, GiveDirectly has done only good.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on livestock, building materials, digging a pit latrine and for burial contribution. I also used part of it for paying my nephew's tuition and my child's school requirements.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will sleep in a better house and buy a cow that will act as an investment for my household. I sleep in a semi permanent house that is cold when it rains and I do not have a reliable source of income because I am lame.
What is the happiest part of your day?
It's usually after lunch when I feel happy. That is because I have been able to secure a meal for my household. It is very rough at the moment to find what to eat and if I manage to get something, that will be the source of happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is my disability which does not allow me to actively engage in productive work. I try to do some product in work but with a limitation. I am lame and I can not compete with the able bodied.
