How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I invested in chicken rearing. Chicken rearing has been a lucrative business for me and I am looking forward to selling them in December when the prices of the chicken shall be high. I am therefore planning to sell most of the chicken by then. This will help me raise enough capital for starting up a business and hopefully get an improved income.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I do not have a reliable source of income. I entirely depend on farming and I do not earn much from it owing to the fact that we only have a small piece of land that we can practice farming on. The little amount of money that we get from our harvest is used on food. I, therefore, have a new goal to save enough money so that I can use it to start up a business in December. I am looking forward to starting this business since I know that it will change our lives and living standards by a great extent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am now proud and confident than I was before. This is because I was able to buy chicken for rearing and the poultry project is doing quite well as at now. I am planning to sell these chicken come December when the prices shall be very high so that I can raise capital for starting up a business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I plan to sell some of my chicken in December so that I can raise money to start up a business. In the next six months, I expect to have started a business and hopefully I will be earning a good income from it. This, I am sure shall improve my living standards by a great extent.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I live in a decent house because I managed to cement the floor. I used to have a dusty house which looked untidy and we could only sprinkle water to reduce the dust. This affected us severely health wise. My children could often catch flue. This was expensive because I had to take them to the hospital most of the time but I am glad that I got help from GiveDirectly because nowadays I only mop the floor which is easy because there is less dust. I also do not think of smearing after every two months which is normally hectic. My kids don't get sickly unlike before thanks to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to build a kitchen. I do not have one at the moment but I have a temporary structure which is not very helpful when it rains. It is a temporary structure that can be blown away by the wind during the rainy seasons. And for this simple reason, I have to cook inside the main house forcing me to incur an extra cost of buying charcoal because I can not use firewood inside my house. I know that I will soon not worry whenever it rains when I accomplish this dream.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have managed to start poultry farming. I have been saving part of my transfers ever since I started getting help from Give Directly in order to buy hens. I finally managed to hit my target and now when I look at them I feel proud of myself. I feel its an investment that will sustain me for a long time. I can now concentrate on other things since I now have something that can back me up when I do not have any other source of income hence I will now not depend on casual jobs alone
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have managed to start a business. I want to have a steady income that I can use to take care of my needs and emergencies because currently, I depend on casual jobs that are reliable and at times I am forced to take loans so as to handle my emergencies. This is not a habit that I would love to continue with and this is the reason why I want to focus on business atlease to get something everyday.
