What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a larger portion of the transfer to built a spacious iron roofed house. Paid my high school daughter fee. I also purchased corns for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that this season I didn't work for people in their farms as it used to be. Apart from that, my rice plantation is doing good and hopefully I'll get high yield this time round.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it is changing the livelihood of the poor in the community. At the moment I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the first transfer to pay school fees for my daughter in secondary school. I am happy that she is able to go to school and sit for all the exams without being sent home for fees. Using part of the transfer I used to lease a plot of land that I have used to grow rice. When I get the produce,I believe I will be able to take care of my family comfortably.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my rice plantation is doing so well and soon my children will be going to school without the hiccups of lack of school fees.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying a Hospital bill for my Baby who was under-going in-patient treatment in Hospital (5,000 KES), as well as purchase of 2 sheep (5,000 KES) that I already started rearing for income.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I cried with relief since I had a sick Baby admitted in Hospital and needed money badly for her treatment, above anything else. This money came right on time to take care of that particular need as well as others.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is how to feed my family as the only bread winner.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when telling stories with my children. It gives hope in life.
