Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I had acquired a plot of land which I intended to construct a rental house. This is a longterm asset which to me would serve as an income-generating activity. I was not, however, able to complete the full payment for this plot. When I received this money, I paid KES 30000 to clear the outstanding balance and I am now in full ownership of this plot which gives freedom to start my project. I am now in the process of purchasing adequate building materials to start the project. I am expecting to construct a decent house from my savings that will ensure I earn a monthly rental income. So far, this is the biggest difference in my daily life.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received the money at around 5 am in the morning. I had already woken up ready to do my day's activities. Hardly had I started doing my normal chores when the message came in. I was thankful and happy at the same time. I always thank God for bringing this organization to my village.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent KES 30000 of my first transfer to pay for a plot of land that I had acquired because but I had not fully paid for it. I had taken a loan to pay it but it wasn't enough. My aim was to gain full ownership of this plot so as to start a project of building a rental house. I am now free to make use of this plot without any restriction. I am determined to implement this project because it is an investment that promises a good monthly rental income. I also spent KES 15000 to pay for my children's school fees so that they would continue with their studies without being interrupted. I spent the remaining amount to cater for my household basic necessities like providing daily foodstuffs and other household expenses.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
It is every parents dream to leave behind an inheritance for their children. While my husband was still working, he managed to purchase a half acre of land and we have always wished to set up some residential rooms in since the plot is directly opposite to a secondary school and we are assured of tenants. However, this has not been possible due to lack of finances. Now that we will be receiving this money, we will buy all the necessary building materials and set our project in motion.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evening hours marks the happiest part of my day.This is because it is the time when we converge together as a family after our meal and pray as a family. During the day everyone is normally preoccupied with the children being in school,my husband tending to the small family business and I selling my fried potatoes at the nearby school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Five years ago, my husband used to be an employee of KREP bank and our life was very comfortable.However, one day, our good days of living came scrambling down when he lost close to ksh.300,000 under unknown circumstances.We are lucky enough that he was not jailed but in order to pay the full amount back, we have been subjected to live in a state of abject poverty. Every penny that he earns is channeled into paying for the debt. The little that I earn from my small business of selling fried potatoes is what the family relies on but it is hardly enough. As such, financial constraint is the biggest hardship that I face.
