How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
From the beginning of this program, my goal was to buy a motorcycle so that my husband can run it as our family business because we believe that through it we will achieve so many things; I thank God that my goal has been achieved through the help of GiveDirectly cash transfer. My new goal is to build a house for my family because we are still living in my father's house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without any strings being attached to it, I also love the system of giving which the organization uses to reach us through our mobile money account directly. I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well in this town, everything is okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to complete the money needed to buy a motorcycle for our family business, I also bought some building materials to start our house project, and the balance was used to buy foodstuffs for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Give Directly's transfer is one thing that everyone been hoping and wishing for. Hearing that all our neighboring town have gotten theirs and we were still here yearning for ours. It was one Thursday afternoon, after doing my house chores, I was just relaxing at my house when I heard my phone ring, I decided to check, but my heart was not on GD transfer because we have waited so long and we have all forgotten about it. To my surprise, when I checked, my transfer was being sent and suddenly I started hearing my neighbors rejoicing and talking about it. I was overwhelmed with great joy!!!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
It has always been my biggest dream to have my own house as young as I am, but my dream was always a dream because I never had the first one cent to start. Thank God for an organization like Give Directly, who has made my long awaited dream becoming a reality, I am so much grateful to God for them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My transfer transfer was spent on my house materials like Zinc, nails, planks and the remaining money, I paid people to cut my sticks to start my house project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I started getting prepared for the construction of my house last year but it has come to a standstill because the motorbike I was riding to support the family and my house project got stolen by criminals. Since my motorbike got stolen, things have turned out to be more difficult for us. We have not had a permanent place to stay so my wife and I have to move into her parent's house where we are currently staying. If I receive any money from Give Directly, I will use part of it to build my house and the rest will go towards business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Since my bike was stolen from me, things have been difficult. I have to go into the bushes every blessed day to harvest ( cut) palms to provide for my family. Sometimes the produce from the palm is bought so cheaply because many customers are not available to buy the goods because of the bad road condition we are faced with in River Cess County. The presence of Give Directly into my town is the most exciting news for me so far this year. It is not only exciting but it has restored hope to us as a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My manor challenge has been sheltering my family. At the time we got ready to get our own home, I was attacked by criminals who took away my only source of income. (Motorbike). Since then, we have not had a permanent place to live. My father in law felt sorry for our condition and gave one of his rooms to us to stay in temporarily.
