Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"My husband and I were still lying in bed that early morning when our next-door neighbor was shouting that she had received her cash transfer from GiveDirectly. I switched my phone on to check my message. Luckily while checking I saw a mobile money alert from GiveDirectly that I have received 35, 625LRD. We ere so excited my husband and I. The first thing I thought on was to buy building materials to start our house project, because my family doesn't own a house".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"Finding daily meals for my family had not been easy. I credited rice from my friend, I was worried about where to get money and pay her. With this cash transfer I was able to pay back her debt so I now believe that my life has changed for good".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"Getting food for my family had been a serious challenge, for which I credited one bag of rice from my friend. When I withdrew the money, I used 3,000 to pay my debt and I am saving the balance money so that when the second transfer comes, I can buy building materials to start my house construction
