What does receiving this money mean to you?
My greatest desire has always been to own a dairy cow. I have 2 children who cannot take their meals without milk. As a result, I am forced to do odd jobs such as weeding and slashing other people's farms so that I can buy them milk. Receiving this money therefore, is a big boost because it will enable me to buy a dairy cow for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening because this is the time I usually get paid. I am happy because I know that my family will get food and my children will get milk.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest worry is that I don't have a reliable source of income. This is because I rely on my neighbors to give me some odd jobs such as weeding, slashing or any other jobs in their farms so that I can provide food for my family. Due to prolonged drought in my village, we are sometimes forced to sleep hungry because jobs are hard to find.
