What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on renting land that I am going to grow cassava on. This is becaus we have suffered from hunger because of the famine so am trying to find a solution to that problem.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would have never thought of developing my self in any way because I did not have money however my life is different in a way that I was able to think of something creative and made an investment which I believe will be a source of income in the future and all this is because of the transfers I received.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD does well by sensitizing us on how to use the money on addition to giving it us.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
On a solar panel, blanket, mattress and a pit latrine! I used my second transfer to buy all those necessities because I did not have them at all and I am happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Being able to live a decent life is the biggest difference in my daily life. I used my second transfer to build a solar panel, mattress, blanket and I am happy.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
Ok, bricks, iron sheets and timber! I spent my first transfer on bricks and iron sheets and timber because my grass-thatched kitchen leaking in that during rains I have no where to cook the food from.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I got the message on my Mobile phone at night and I silently went in my bedroom to hide my phone so that no one get access to it to steal it with my money. I was quiet but happy deep inside me.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on improving my house. The remaining balance will be utilised in construction of a Kitchen and a pit latrine.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My ability to construct a simple house where I stay. I got this money from growing rice.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is the complicated ulcers which I developed during my young age. It weakened me a lot and I can no longer do activities as I used to do.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Afternoons is the happiest part of my day. I get time to rest after working and it's the time I use to cook.
